Regular Meetings

Sunday Services take place each week at Goldington Academy at 10.00am and 6.00pm. At our services there is singing, prayer and teaching from the Bible. During the Bible teaching in the morning service, there is a crèche for 0-3s and two children's classes for age three years to reception and for school years one to four. After both morning and evening services, there is time to chat informally over tea and coffee.

After you have read the information below, why not have a look at our publicity page. If any of the types of meeting meeting below have associated publicity then links will be provided there alongside the blue church logo.

Family Services – On the second Sunday of each month, we hold an all age family service where even the youngest can get involved. It’s easy to understand, good fun, clear and punchy in its presentation of what the Bible has to say to us today – ideal if it’s your first time visiting a church, or if you want to bring a friend to a church service.

The menu option For My Family on the left tells you much more about additional events and activities for families.

Communion Services – on the first Sunday morning and third Sunday evening of each month, we share bread and wine together. These are symbols of Jesus’ body and blood, given for us when he died on the cross, to bring us the certain hope of forgiveness. Communion is part of the main service.

Other services – From time to time we do something a bit different. Examples include:

  • Guest Services:
People who would not normally attend a church service are invited to hear how the Bible speaks to today's society. Sometimes these are themed, and advanced publicity provided.
  • Youth services:
led by the young people for everyone
  • Tearfund Sunday:
an annual opportunity to focus our attention on the work of this charity that we seek to support. The menu option For Our World on the left leads to more about our support for Tearfund.
  • Mission Sunday:
spending time broadening our focus from Bedford to another part of the world, often considering the work of particular individuals or organisations that are spreading the good news of Jesus Christ elsewhere. The menu option For Our World on the left leads to more about our partnership with other organisations.
