Summer Fair
Each year, shortly before the next one is announced there will also be a flier available on the What's On page, and and a note to that effect in the News Sheet.
2012
Once again, thanks to the organisers, the willing helpers, but most of all to the visitors who came, this year's fair was another successful event. On the day, Saturday 23rd June, the weather held, and at one point a snap head count gave approximately 300 people.
There were school choirs and singing to enjoy, dancing, sheep dogs (rounding up ducks!), plus the usual stalls. The refreshments were good, judging by how much was consumed.
All in all it was a good day, with the church becoming better known in the community.
2011
This went ahead on Saturday 18th June, and was a good day in spite of some rain.
2010
Saturday 19th June 2010 saw our fourth Summer Fair take place on Chiltern Avenue Green. Despite a blustery grey day, many people came out to make the fair a great community event and to enjoy the bouncy castle, bungee running, beat the goalie, sheepdog demonstration, Bedford town band and much more. Thanks go to those who organised the event and to all who came!
This year £645.54 was raised for each of Tearfund's 'Make Life Flow' project and our local Goldington and Putnoe Children's Centres (more information about these organisations can be found on their websites: Tearfund
